Hi, I am Helen and the founder of Happy Paws. After many years in the corporate world, I reached a point where this did not bring me joy. What did bring me happiness were the moments I spent at home with my pets, two Parson dogs, Rodney and Barbara, and two Maine Coon Cats, Bowie and Bear. They’re not just pets, they’re my family. They’ve been by my side through many chapters of my life, offering the kind of unconditional love only animals can give.

Over time, I realised I wanted a life built around what I truly loved, a life where I could give the same care, kindness and attention to other people’s pets as I give to my own. That’s why I created Happy Paws: a service shaped by heart, inspired by the many dogs and cats who have have changed my life, and built on the belief that every pet deserves to feel safe, understood and loved.

Happy Paws was born from a simple truth: animals make life better. They bring joy, comfort, and meaning — and they deserve the very best care when their humans can’t be there.

I wanted to create a service that feels personal, trustworthy, and genuinely loving. A service where pets are treated like family, not clients and where owners feel completely at ease, knowing their pets are in safe, caring hands.
